Hydromulching
Hydromulching is a fast, effective revegetation method by agitating mulch, fertiliser, seed and a binding agent then hydraulically applying the mixture directly onto specified areas.
Once applied, the slurry mixture provides a fixed permeable layer to protect the soil while allowing rainfall infiltration until the vegetation establishes, ultimately decreasing erosion and sedimentation runoff into natural environments.
Hydroseeding
Hydroseeding is the same concept as hydromulching, however it is an agitated hydraulically applied mixture that consists of seed, water, fertilizer and dye that is applied through a cannon or hose on top of topsoil. Hydroseeding techniques can cover large expansive areas faster than drill, direct or broadcast seeding. Hydroseeding is mostly used on flat areas where erosion problems will not occur. The use of native species as well as cover crops can also be utilised throughout this process.
